Job summary

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED preferred; valid Texas driver’s license with safe driving record; ability to obtain apprentice electrician’s license.
• Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: follow written and oral instructions; use all tools and equipment; knowledge of safety requirements; adaptable daily routines; work in various weather conditions.
• Experience: electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs on district facilities and sites.
• Identify needed repairs following inspection procedures.
• Receive and complete work orders timely; maintain records of materials and labor.
• Determine when a specialized trade is required to resolve issues.
• Regularly inspect facilities for preventative maintenance.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and report hazards.
