Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School LPN/LVN to provide nursing support in a school setting, administer medications as ordered, monitor health needs, and work closely with the school nurse to keep students safe and healthy. Responsibilities include maintaining health records, communicating with families and staff, promoting health education, and ensuring compliance with district policies.

The contract role offers 35 hours per week at $42 per hour and a benefits package including

Qualifications

Current, active LPN/LVN license.
One year of nursing experience, preferably in school, pediatric, community health or public health.
Experience working with children and adolescents.
Knowledge of community health resources and public health services.
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
Current CPR if applicable.
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing support to students in the school setting.
Monitor student health concerns and administer medications as delegated or ordered.
Offer first aid and care for illness or injury; support students with chronic health needs.
Maintain accurate health records and communicate with families and school staff.
Collaborate with the school nurse to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
Promote health education, disease prevention, and student well-being while following district policies.
