Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks an LPN/LVN to provide nursing support in a school setting in Reading, PA. This contract-full-time position involves administering medications, monitoring student health, and collaborating with the school nurse to maintain a safe, healthy learning environment.

The role requires an active LPN/LVN license, at least 1 year of nursing experience (preferably in school or pediatric settings), CPR if applicable, and adherence to health regulations.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN/LVN license and valid CPR, if applicable.
• One year of nursing experience, preferably in school, pediatric, or public health settings.
• Experience working with children and adolescents.
• Knowledge of community health resources and public health services.
• Complies with professional standards of practice.
• TB screening (PPD or chest x-ray) if applicable.
• Current health certificate as required by contract or state regulation.
• Must meet federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support to students in the school setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as delegated or ordered.
• Provide first aid and care for illness or injury.
• Support students with chronic health needs.
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate with families and staff.
• Collaborate with the school nurse to ensure a safe learning environment.
