Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School LPN/LVN to provide nursing support in a Dallas, OR school environment. The role involves monitoring health concerns, administering medications, and coordinating with the school nurse to keep students safe and healthy.

The position requires an active LPN/LVN license and at least one year of nursing experience, preferably in school or pediatric settings. CPR as applicable and compliance with health regulations are required.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN/LVN license.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience, preferably in a school, pediatric, community health, or public health setting.
• Experience working with children and adolescents.
• Knowledge of community health resources and public health services.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR certification if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The School LPN/LVN provides nursing support to students in the school setting in accordance with state nursing regulations and scope of practice requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring student health concerns, administering medications and treatments as delegated or ordered, providing first aid and care for illness or injury, and supporting students with chronic health needs. The School LPN/LVN maintains accurate health records, communicates with families and school staff regarding student health needs, and works closely with the school nurse to help ensure a safe and healthy learning environment. The position also promotes health education, disease prevention, and student well-being while following district policies and state education requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Current, active LPN/LVN license
• One (1) year of nursing experience, preferably in a school, pediatric, community health, or public health setting, preferred
• Experience working with children and adolescents.
• Knowledge of community health resources and public health services.
