Job summary

Reynoldsburg City School District is seeking a Library Educational Paraprofessional to support the school library’s instructional and operational needs. The role assists students and staff with accessing resources, reinforces library skills, and maintains a welcoming environment aligned with the district’s educational program.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, Ohio Educational Aide Permit, and a ParaPro credential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ohio Educational Aide Permit required.
• ESEA credential (ParaPro) within 60 days of hire or transfer.
• Background checks (BCI & FBI) required by Ohio law.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with library usage, research basics, and materials care.
• Provide individual or small-group support during library activities.
• Assist with circulation, inventories, and overdue notices.
• Shelve, organize, and repair library materials; maintain a clean library space.
• Prepare and process requisitions, records, and library documentation.
• Communicate professionally with students, staff, and parents; collaborate with librarian and teachers.
