Job summary

The Reynoldsburg City Schools’ Specialized Paraprofessional assists in supervising and instructing special needs students under a certificated teacher in a special education classroom. Responsibilities include observing student progress, implementing instructional plans, and providing clerical support to teachers.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and an Ohio Education Aide permit with ESEA credential. Prior paraprofessional experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ohio Education Aide permit with ESEA credential required.
• 1–2 years paraprofessional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and assessments.
• Prepare daily behavior charts and track student progress.
• Assist students with classroom activities and transitions.
• Support with toileting, feeding and handling adaptive equipment as needed.
