Qualifications

• Must hold valid Professional Educator License as a Media Coordinator at the Master Level or be eligible for a provisional license.
• Eligibility for a provisional license requires a bachelor level teaching license or a bachelor degree in media with 18 graduate hours toward a media coordinator program.
• Provisional license holders must affiliate with an approved media program and pass Praxis II by end of coursework.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively create, align, and implement a program informed by state and national guidelines and research‑based best practices.
• Provide leadership in planning, promoting, and sustaining the school library media program, services, and resources.
• Establish the library media center as a physical and virtual shared space, open, equitable, and accessible for knowledge construction and inquiry‑based learning.
• Lead the creation of digital age learning environments.
• Participate in and/or lead the development of the school improvement plan.
• Participate in recruitment, hiring processes, and mentoring of school educators.
• Collaborate with school personnel for strategic planning and to integrate information and instructional technology into curricula.
