Job summary

PowerSchool is seeking a Library Media Coordinator to support Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in delivering a student-centered library media program that aligns with NC standards and prepares students for a globally competitive world.

You'll collaborate with school leaders, coaches, and teachers to implement inquiry-based learning, digital literacy, and data-driven planning, while organizing the media center and guiding collection development to meet diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library Science required.
• Licensed by NCDPI as a school library media coordinator (076).
• Knowledge of K-12 curriculum and NC standards.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with technology tools and cloud-based solutions.
• Ability to design instruction based on student achievement data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and model library media program aligned with NC standards.
• Coach teachers in inquiry-based learning and digital literacy.
• Plan and facilitate personalized professional development in literacy and digital learning.
• Collaborate with school leadership and PLCs to use data for student achievement.
• Organize media center and manage resources for access.
• Develop long-range plans for integrating print/digital collections.
• Prepare reports for the NC Digital Learning Materials Inventory (NCDLMI).
