Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a commercial or institutional kitchen setting.
• Ability to speak and understand English to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity and ability to handle kitchen tools and equipment safely.
• Capability to stand for extended periods during food preparation and service.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and menu plans.
• Ensure all food preparation and storage complies with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Assist in inventory management by receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.
• Communicate effectively with team members and school staff to coordinate meal service times and special dietary accommodations.
