Job summary

Douglas County School District seeks a Kitchen Assistant for Montessori Charter School. This regular, part-time role (0.75 FTE, 30 hours/week) supports daily lunch preparation in charter schools with limited equipment. You will operate a POS, assist in serving meals, and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Experience in food service or school nutrition is a plus.
• Ability to follow menus/recipes and comply with health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS system and reconcile monies daily.
• Participate in training; may lead training for kitchen staff.
• Serve meals daily and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Build positive relationships with the school and surrounding community.
• Assist in setup and cleanup of serving areas for timely service.
• Assist in meal preparation, service, and sale following menus/recipes.
