Job summary

Virtucom, Inc. is seeking entry level field technicians in Florida to join a team dedicated to making technology work in schools. You will travel to assigned sites to install, diagnose, repair hardware and software, and interact with school staff to keep devices functioning properly.

Qualifications

• Understanding of computers and basic networking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11 ChromeOS, and MacOS.
• IT background preferred.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level I technical support for hardware and software including workstations, laptops, netbooks, tablets, and personal and network printers/copiers.
• Support in and out of warranty devices.
• Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Pursue IT manufacturer repair certifications as needed (Lenovo, HP, etc).
• Support projects/team members throughout the district on an as-needed basis.
• Perform Warehouse Duties if selected such as, deliveries, prepping computers for distribution, device repair of out of warranty devices, etc.
