Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking an experienced Advanced HVAC Technician to join our facilities maintenance team. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems to ensure safe, reliable, and energy-efficient building operations.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in commercial/industrial HVAC, EPA 608 certification, and the ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
EPA Section 608 Certification.
Strong troubleshooting skills involving HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and mechanical systems.
Diagnose and repair chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers, rooftop units, pumps, VAV systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical components, motors, VFDs, control circuits, and HVAC control systems.
Monitor and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS).
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
Complete work orders, maintenance records, and equipment documentation using a CMMS.
Respond to emergency equipment failures and restore systems safely and efficiently.
Coordinate with contractors during repairs and equipment upgrades.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to less-experienced technicians.
Follow all OSHA, EPA, company, and site safety policies.
