Job summary

Anne Arundel County Department of Health is seeking a School Nurse for a 10-month position located at Deale Elementary School and Shady Side Elementary School in Maryland. The role covers 37.5 hours per week with summers off, offering health, dental, vision and pharmacy coverage as part of the benefits package.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree in nursing (or higher) and an active Maryland RN license, with at least two years of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Two years as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate health services, supervision of delegated nursing tasks, counseling and resource referrals to students, parents and staff at assigned schools during the school year.
• Serve as liaison between Anne Arundel County Department of Health, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, one or more designated schools, the student and family, and the student's health care provider.
