Aahealth is seeking a professional School Nurse to support Deale Elementary School and Shady Side Elementary School in Anne Arundel County. The role involves delivering school-based health services, advising on student health needs, and coordinating with families and health care providers.

The position requires an RN license, an associate degree in nursing (bachelor’s preferred), and two years of RN experience. This is a 10-month, on-site role with benefits and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Two years as a registered nurse.
• Current RN license from Maryland Board of Nursing.
• Driver’s License required.
• Education is determined by the Maryland Board of Nursing licensing requirements.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional health services as part of the pupil services team at assigned schools.
• Liaise with Anne Arundel County Department of Health, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, and health care providers.
• Supervise delegated nursing tasks and provide counseling and resource referrals to students, parents, and staff.
• Deliver health services during the school year and coordinate with designated school health staff.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Benefits: Benefits include health dental, vision and pharmacy coverage. 10-month position, summers off; no shift work; and paid leave days.

Annual Budgeted Amount: $69,502.95

Job Description

Nature of Work:

Under the supervision of the appropriate Program Supervisor, this is the professional health services (school nurse) component of the pupil services team. Functions as a liaison between the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, one or more designated schools, the student and his/her family, and the student's health care provider. Provides appropriate health services, supervision of delegated nursing tasks, counseling and resource referrals to students, parents and staff at assigned schools during the school year.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. Bachelor’s degree in nursing

Experience:

Two years as a registered nurse.

License or Certification:

Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing. Driver’s License Required.

Notes:

Education is determined by the Maryland Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in nursing.
