Job summary

Anne Arundel County Department of Health seeks a licensed registered nurse to join the School Health program at Deale and Shady Side elementary schools for a 10-month term. The nurse provides health services, counsels students and families, and coordinates with school staff and health providers.

Requires an ADN or BSN, Maryland RN license, and at least two years of RN experience. Driver's license required. This position offers health/dental/vision coverage, summers off, and paid leave days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Two years as a registered nurse.
• Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing.

Open to all qualified candidates. Location: Deale Elementary School, 759 Masons Beach Road, Deale, MD 20751 and Shady Side Elementary School, 4859 Atwell Road, Shady Side, MD 20764. Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Benefits include health dental, vision and pharmacy coverage. 10-month position, summers off; no shift work; and paid leave days. Annual Budgeted Amount: $69,502.95

Job Description

Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the appropriate Program Supervisor, this is the professional health services (school nurse) component of the pupil services team. Functions as a liaison between the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, one or more designated schools, the student and his/her family, and the student's health care provider. Provides appropriate health services, supervision of delegated nursing tasks, counseling and resource referrals to students, parents and staff at assigned schools during the school year.

Education
