Job summary

Anne Arundel County Department of Health is seeking a School Nurse for a 10-month position located at Deale Elementary School and Shady Side Elementary School in Maryland. The role covers 37.5 hours per week with summers off, offering health, dental, vision and pharmacy coverage as part of the benefits package.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree in nursing (or higher) and an active Maryland RN license, with at least two years of RN experience.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Benefits include health dental, vision and pharmacy coverage. 10-month position, summers off; no shift work; and paid leave days. Annual Budgeted Amount: $69,502.95

Job Description

Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the appropriate Program Supervisor, this is the professional health services (school nurse) component of the pupil services team. Functions as a liaison between the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, one or more designated schools, the student and his/her family, and the student's health care provider. Provides appropriate health services, supervision of delegated nursing tasks, counseling and resource referrals to students, parents and staff at assigned schools during the school year.

Education

Experience

Two years as a registered nurse.

License Or Certification
