Job summary

Dayton Area School Consortium is seeking a School Health Associate to support the school clinic, assist with student illnesses and emergencies, and help manage clinic operations across West Carrollton City Schools. This role supports the Central Office and All Buildings environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR and First Aid certification, and an Educational Aide license issued by the Ohio Department of Education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• LPN may be preferred or licensure.
• Educational Aide license issued by the Ohio Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical support functions, including maintaining clinic records.
• Greets visitors to the clinic and directs them to appropriate staff.
• Contacts parents/guardians when the school has not been notified about an absent student.
• Responds to calls for assistance with sick or injured students; initiates emergency procedures in nurse's absence.
• Prepares clinic by setting up equipment and stocking supplies.
• Maintains health records and processes database information.
• Assists with screening activities (vision, hearing, scoliosis).
• Maintains inventory of clinic supplies and prepares requisitions.
• Composes memos, reports, and records as requested.
• Participates in IAT meetings when requested.
