Job summary

Fireside Elementary School in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Health Assistant to support the school nurse and health office staff. This is a 9-month, non-interim position with a .8125 FTE (6.5 hours per day) at Grade 13, starting immediately and running through 5/27/2027.

The role involves administering first aid and medications under guidance, assisting with health screenings, maintaining health records, and coordinating enrollment health documentation in accordance with district policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with health screenings and immunization documentation preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Administers emergency first aid and medications under supervision.
• Assists health professional with health screenings and immunization checks.
• Maintains health office records and medical documentation.
• Prepares emergency cards and processes enrollment health forms.
