Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a Health Assistant to administer health services for students and staff at the district. You will provide first aid, medication administration, and emergency care within the school health office.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and certification as Medical Assistant or EMT Level 1 with CPR. Familiarity with immunization requirements and Synergy is preferred. This is a full-time position with benefits and a daily rate of $19.89.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant or EMT Level 1 with CPR is required.
• Immunization requirements knowledge per Arizona State Law is preferred.
• Moderate typing proficiency and computer skills (Synergy preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conducts individualized assessments following district emergency guidelines.
• Provide emergency care and monitor students and staff at school sites.
• Demonstrate medication dosage calculations and administration per physician orders.
• Identify medical needs for students with diabetes, asthma, seizures, or other conditions.
• Prepare health records and maintain confidentiality.
• Document findings and patient responses; complete required reporting.
