Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a Health Assistant to administer health services for students and staff, including first aid, medication administration and emergency care. The position requires CMA or EMT-1 with CPR, and knowledge of immunization rules in Arizona.

The role is full-time, at Mesa public schools, with health service responsibilities across site(s). Benefits include sick leave and health/life insurance; annual performance pay provided after a qualifying period.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant or EMT-1 with CPR current.
• Working knowledge of immunization requirements per Arizona State Law.
• Typing and computer skills; Synergy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer health services to students and staff according to district policies.
• Provide first aid, medication administration and emergency care as needed.
• Assess emergencies and deliver care following district guidelines.
• Monitor conditions and administer medicines with physician orders and parent consent.
• Document findings and maintain confidential health records.
• Coordinate immunization records and reporting as required.
