Job summary

Washoe County School District in Reno, NV is seeking a Clinical Aide to support the School Nurse, provide first aid, and manage student health needs at Desert Heights Elementary School. You will assist with medications, maintain records, and perform health screenings in a fast-paced educational environment.

The role requires Heartsaver + AED CPR and First Aid certifications, and a calm demeanor in emergencies. It is a part-time, 27.5-hour weekly position with 191 days.

Qualifications

• Possession of Heartsaver + AED CPR card within 30 days.
• Possession of a Standard First Aid card within 30 days.
• Experience caring for students is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Renders first aid to injured or ill students following policies; administers CPR in emergencies.
• Assists with physician-prescribed medications under nurse direction.
• Conducts basic vision and hearing screenings; audits immunization records.
• Updates and maintains student health records and inputs health data.
• Maintains AED checks and supports health services operations.
