Job summary

Churchill County School District is seeking an on-call school health assistant to provide first aid and health screening for students, under supervision by a school nurse.

Responsibilities include delegable nursing tasks per Nevada regulations and essential clerical duties to support the school site. Certification in First Aid and HeartSaver AED/CPR is required.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current HeartSaver + AED CPR card from the American Heart Association.
• Current First Aid certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Administer first aid and screen ill or injured students under supervision, in coordination with a school nurse.
• Perform delegable nursing services for students as per Nevada School Nurse Regulation and Advisory Opinion, NRS Chapter 632.
• Handle clerical duties such as typing, filing, and maintaining records and reports to support the school site or office.
