Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking a Clinical Aide at Desert Heights Elementary School in Nevada. You will work under the School Nurse to provide first aid, administer medications under supervision, and maintain student health records.

The role supports health services for students aged 3 to 22 and requires Heartsaver + AED CPR and first aid certifications. The position is 27.5 hours per week over 191 days, with benefits for regular employees and opportunities for growth within the health

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or able to obtain within 30 days.
• Heartsaver + AED CPR or equivalent First Aid certification required/obtainable within 30 days.
• Experience with health records and basic clerical tasks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and care for ill or injured students under supervision.
• Administer physician-prescribed medications under nurse direction.
• Support school nurse with screenings, immunization records, and health policy compliance.
• Maintain student health records and input data into the health database.
• Keep health office organized and stocked; assist with AED checks.
• Assist with daily routines and communicate health status to families and staff.
