Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks a Clinical Aide to assist the School Nurse in caring for ill or injured students at Sun Valley Elementary School. The role includes administering first aid, assisting with medications, maintaining health records, and performing routine health screenings while following district policies.

Qualifications include Heartsaver AED CPR and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain within 30 days; prior healthcare support experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Heartsaver AED CPR card or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Requires Standard First Aid certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Experience or ability to perform delegable nursing tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Render first aid to injured or ill students per policies; perform CPR in emergencies.
• Assist with physician-prescribed medications under nurse direction.
• Maintain student health records and immunization data; enter data in database.
• Conduct basic vision/hearing screenings and refer to School Nurse as needed.
• Keep health office organized and ensure supplies are stocked.
