Job summary

Mendoza Elementary is seeking a Health Assistant in Mesa, Arizona. The role supports the school health office, delivering first aid, medication administration, and emergency care for students and staff.

This full-time position works 35 hours per week and starts mid-November 2026. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma, current CPR, and a Medical Assistant or EMT Level 1 certification, with familiarity to immunization requirements and Synergy software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant or EMT Level 1 with CPR is required.
• Immunization requirements knowledge per AZ law.
• Typing ability and basic computer skills with Synergy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer health services to students and staff per district policies.
• Provide first aid, medication administration, and emergency care as needed.
• Monitor students with diabetes, seizures, asthma, anaphylaxis, and related conditions.
• Document findings and maintain health records with confidentiality.
• Prepare health reports and coordinate with nurses and staff.
