Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and FERPA guidelines, rules and regulations.
• Skill in performing basic medical procedures.
• Skill in maintaining files, reports and other medical documentation.
• Skill in operating office equipment, and computer applications.
• Skill in communicating orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Attends to the needs of students and staff that become ill or have accidents requiring medical attention.
• Assists in maintaining the school health office and health records; helps with immunization tracking.
• Assists with vision and hearing screening and medication administration under nurse supervision.
• Completes and maintains paperwork, reports, and files; supports enrollment and emergencies.
