Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Florida seeks a Health Aide to deliver direct student health services, conduct mandated screenings, and maintain immunization compliance while keeping accurate records.

You will coordinate medications, promote health education, and work with campus staff and families to support student well-being. CNA/RMA and CPR/First Aid certifications are required to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One-year experience in a health-related position preferred (school-age children).
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required; CPR/AED/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct health services using professional assessment skills and school health protocols.
• Serve as health advocate for students and coordinate emergency care as needed.
• Coordinate medication administration and mandatory health screenings; refer as necessary.
• Serve as health liaison between school, physicians, parents, and community.
• Participate in health-related committees and develop Individual Health Plans as needed.
• Communicate regularly with campus operations, health services and staff on health services issues.
