Job summary

Edinburg CISD is seeking a Grounds Worker for L.B. Johnson Elementary to maintain campus grounds, mow lawns, trim shrubbery, and support irrigation and exterior upkeep. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, dependability, and the ability to operate standard grounds equipment safely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Dependable and cooperative.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain campus grounds related activities, such as mowing, trimming shrubbery, and cultivating flowers using assigned equipment.
• Maintain asphalt parking lots and drives.
• Perform irrigation duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Empty trash and garbage containers into designated trash bin for the building.
• Report major building maintenance repair needs to the Head Custodian.
• Keep outside walkways clean of debris and dirt.
• Maintain security in school building in accordance with school policy procedures.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
