Job summary

Cleburne ISD is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain safe and attractive district grounds and landscaping. The role requires operating various lawn and landscaping equipment and performing tasks across seasonal grounds maintenance, including athletic fields and sprinkler systems.

The position is nonexempt with a 260-day schedule, reports to the Grounds Foreman and requires a valid Texas driver’s license. You will help keep facilities clean, safe, and well‑maintained for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Mow and detail district grounds, including athletic fields.
• Care for trees, shrubs and flowers: watering, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, weed control.
• Prepare athletic fields for games and chalk fields.
• Water grounds and apply fertilizer.
• Collect leaves, dirt and refuse from facilities.
• Assist with sprinkler system inspection, repair and installation.
• Transport workers and equipment to district sites.
