Job summary

Ellensburg School District is seeking a Grounds/Maintenance worker to perform a variety of maintenance tasks across district facilities and grounds. The role requires hands-on expertise in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, grounds care, and related maintenance activities to keep the environment safe and functional for students and staff.

You will operate and repair irrigation systems, prune shrubs/trees, and assist with weed control.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and grounds maintenance tasks.
• Experience or knowledge of irrigation systems is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repairs, including fixtures and switches.
• Repair plumbing fixtures and unclog drains.
• Carry out carpentry tasks: framing, doors, finish work, cabinetry.
• Maintain irrigation pumps and systems and garden areas.
• Operate and maintain maintenance/grounds equipment and snow removal as needed.
• Work varied shifts and assist with custodial tasks when required.
