Job summary

Wenatchee School District in Wenatchee, WA, seeks a Grounds/Irrigation Tech to maintain district properties, perform mowing, edging, fertilizing, weed control, and playground and hardscape upkeep. You’ll manage irrigation systems and coordinate athletic field and landscape maintenance with minimal supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid WA driver's license, and the ability to obtain a pesticide license within twelve months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in turf, grounds, and irrigation maintenance.
• A valid Washington state driver’s license.
• A valid Washington State Dept. of Agriculture Public Operator Pesticide License or ability to obtain within twelve months.
• Knowledge of soil components, amendments, and analysis; irrigation maintenance, repair, and management practices; athletic field cultural practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain school grounds in top condition to ensure productive use of district facilities.
• Maintain, repair, and manage irrigation systems.
• Operate snow removal and sanding equipment to maintain sidewalks and parking lots.
• Communicate effectively with district staff and the community; perform assigned tasks as needed.
