Job summary

Vallivue School District is seeking a Maintenance/Custodial/Grounds Worker to care for school grounds and facilities. You will maintain landscaping, irrigation, and related equipment, ensuring safe, clean, and well‑kept campuses across the district.

The role requires knowledge of underground sprinklers and landscaping equipment, plus a pesticide applicator certification. Preferred candidates have HVAC or electrical/mechanical skills and a commitment to reliable, hands‑on maintenance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of underground sprinklers – repair/replace pumps, lines, heads.
• Knowledge of landscaping equipment – mowers, tractors, string trimmers, leaf/snow blowers, rotary edgers.
• Required: Certification for pesticide applicator.
• PREFERRED: Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscaping: mowing, planting, watering, sod laying, fertilizing, digging, raking, trimming, weeding.
