Job summary

Union Elementary School District is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to support the educational process by performing skilled and semi-skilled maintenance across district facilities, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and grounds care.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work with minimal supervision, lift heavy items, and respond to safety concerns after hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Arranges furniture and equipment for the purpose of providing adequate preparations special events.
• Assists maintenance workers with projects for the purpose of completing projects in a safe, efficient manner.
• Builds items for the purpose of modifying and/or adapting facilities to specific needs.
• Cleans gutters, culverts, bath basins and other drainage structures for the purpose of preventing damage and/or limiting liability exposure.
• Coordinates with assigned lead and/or supervisor and other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
• Installs system component parts and facility equipment for the purpose of providing a safe and workable environment.
• Maintains grounds and landscapes at District buildings for the purpose of providing safe areas for activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring efficient functioning.
