Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. is seeking Food Service Workers for a school cafeteria environment in Spotswood, NJ. Monday through Friday, day shift with summers off. Staff will prepare and serve meals to students, while maintaining a clean and safe dining area.

Responsibilities include food preparation, serving, operation of kitchen equipment, and ensuring compliance with HACCP standards. Prior experience in school cafeterias and a ServSafe certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school cafeteria or institutional food service setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Food Handler's permit or ServSafe Certification (preferred).

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
• Stocking, rotating food supplies, and minimizing waste.
• Provide friendly, patient service to students of all ages.
• Accommodate special needs and allergy restrictions as required.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and securing equipment.
