Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools is seeking a Candidate Pool Production Assistant – NC, (SY 2026-2027) to join the Culinary & Wellness Services team. Under general supervision, you will assist with the production of ready-to-eat foods, packaging, and maintaining sanitary work areas.

The schedule is 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 1.0 FTE with potential overtime. A High School Diploma or GED is required; some food handling experience is preferred. Resume is mandatory to apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices for food preparation, distribution, and storage.
• Personal sanitation and hygiene regulations.
• Principles of record keeping and records management.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production of ready-to-eat foods, including vegetable washing, peeling, sous vide packaging, and portioning.
• Operates scales, label makers, and pallet jacks to support packaging of food.
• Participates in set-up and tear-down of packaging equipment, including cleaning and sanitizing.
• Cleans and maintains orderly, safe, and sanitary conditions in culinary and wellness services facility.
• Supports other areas of central production kitchen activity during heavy demand.
