Qualifications

• Two-year degree or two years college in nutrition or a related field is preferred.
• Minnesota Health Department Food Manager Certification required within 60 days of appointment.
• Experience supervising food preparation in school cafeterias, restaurants, or related setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises the work of several employees or volunteers.
• Coordinates the preparation and serving of a moderate variety of school breakfast and lunch items.
• Coordinates meal accountability to other sites when needed.
• Ensures food is prepared to standard; checks quality, taste, and portion sizes; sets up counters attractively and sanitary.
• Orders food supplies from vendors and the Nutrition Center; inspects received goods for accuracy.
