Job summary

TrulyHired is hiring a Food Service Assistant for Hollis Elementary School in Hollis, ME. This 4 hours per day role runs from 10:15am to 2:15pm, Monday through Friday, supporting meal service and dining area upkeep.

You will ensure health standards, operate the Computerized Accountability System, and work as part of a team to provide safe, nutritious meals for students. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, and CHRC may be required if offered, with prior school food service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CHRC background check required if offered.
• Experience in school food service is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Good math skills required.
• Knowledge of weight scales and sanitation is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow a recipe and learn the accountability system.
• Excellent team worker.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food as part of daily meals.
• Assist with cleaning the kitchen, serving, and eating areas.
• Maintain health and sanitation standards throughout shifts.
• Operate a Computerized Accountability System.
• Attend staff training as needed.
