Job summary

Maine School Administrative District #6 Hollis Elementary School is hiring a Food Service Assistant for a 4-hour shift (10:15am-2:15pm). duties include preparing and serving food, helping with kitchen cleaning, and maintaining health and sanitation standards; you will operate a Computerized Accountability System and attend staff trainings.

Hollis Elementary School

(1) Position: 4 hours per day (10:15am-2:15pm)

• Preparing and serving food (may include cooking and baking).
• Assisting with cleaning the kitchen, serving, and eating areas.
• Maintaining all applicable health and sanitation standards.
• Operating a Computerized Accountability System.
• Attending staff training as needed.

Qualifications:

• 1.Education: High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2.Current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) is required if offered the position.
• 3.Experience: Prior successful school Food Service experience is a plus.
• 4.Physical Requirements: Evidence of ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, stand for periods of time as long as 6+ hours on a cement/tile kitchen floor, work in a potentially hot and humid environment.
• 5.Good math skills are a must.
• 6.Knowledge of weight scales and sanitation is a plus.
• 7.Ability to read and follow a recipe.
• 8.Must be willing to learn and run a Computerized Accountability System.
• 9.Excellent team worker.

Wage Scale: $21.88 $25.75 per hour based on experience.
