Job summary

TrulyHired is hiring a Food Service Assistant for Hollis Elementary School in Hollis, ME. This 4 hours per day role runs from 10:15am to 2:15pm, Monday through Friday, supporting meal service and dining area upkeep.

You will ensure health standards, operate the Computerized Accountability System, and work as part of a team to provide safe, nutritious meals for students. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, and CHRC may be required if offered, with prior school food service

Food Service Assistant

Hollis Elementary School

(1) Position: 4 hours per day (10:15am-2:15pm)

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing and serving food (may include cooking and baking).
• Assisting with cleaning the kitchen, serving, and eating areas.
• Maintaining all applicable health and sanitation standards.
• Operating a Computerized Accountability System.
• Attending staff training as needed.

Qualifications

1. 1. Education: High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. 2. Current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) is required if offered the position.
3. 3. Experience: Prior successful school Food Service experience is a plus.
4. 4. Physical Requirements: Evidence of ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, stand for periods of time as long as 6+ hours on a cement/tile kitchen floor, work in a potentially hot and humid environment.
5. 5. Good math skills are a must.

Wage Scale: $21.88 $25.75 per hour based on experience.
