Job summary

Wake Prep Academy is seeking a dedicated Facilities Technician for the 2026-2027 school year to support daily operations across campus. You will assist with event setup, basic maintenance, and securing facilities to ensure safe, clean spaces for students and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to pass a background check. Preferred are 1+ years in maintenance and knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry to support school facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background check.
• 1+ year of general maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and basic carpentry.
• Fair housing training and CAMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of facilities for meetings, conferences, and events.
• Perform general maintenance tasks and repairs as needed.
• Lock and unlock assigned buildings and secure facilities when not in use.
• Ensure cleanliness of facilities, including bathrooms and classrooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
