Job summary

Worcester Cultural Academy Charter Public School is seeking a full-time, year-round School Maintenance Technician to support daily operation and upkeep of our multi-building campus serving K-7 students. Working under the Facilities Manager, you will handle routine repairs, preventive maintenance, room setups, grounds work, and seasonal tasks to keep the school safe and ready each morning.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year in building maintenance or related trades,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
One or more years of building maintenance, custodial, facilities, or general trades experience preferred.
Working knowledge of hand and power tools, cleaning chemicals and their safe use, and basic repair techniques across carpentry, plumbing, painting, and light electrical work.

Responsibilities

Complete routine repairs across all campus buildings, including furniture, doors, hardware, ceiling tiles, fixtures, painting, patching, and minor plumbing and electrical work.
Respond to work orders from the Facilities Manager and staff, and communicate status and completion.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and record it as directed.
Escalate issues beyond the scope of the role to the Facilities Manager promptly.
