Job summary

Educational Empowerment Group is seeking a Facilities/Maintenance Technician to prepare classrooms and common areas for daily activities, meetings and events. The role requires maintaining a clean, safe environment and coordinating with staff to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment following safety practices.
• Strong physical health with ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various positions.
• At least two years’ experience in a school environment preferred.
• Must pass local, state and federal criminal history checks and TB test.
• Good interpersonal skills with students, parents and administrators; meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Arrange furnishings and equipment for meetings, classroom activities and events.
• Attend in-service training to learn new procedures and safety standards.
• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Inspect facilities and coordinate repairs or maintenance with appropriate personnel.
• Respond to safety or operational concerns to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Assist other staff and perform additional duties as directed by the Principal or Management.
