Job summary

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, at least one year of building and mechanical maintenance experience, and the ability to meet physical requirements. The role reports to the Assistant Superintendent and involves supervising part-time staff as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year building & mechanical maintenance or operations experience.
• General knowledge in plumbing, electrical, mechanics, masonry or carpentry.
• Must meet Physical Performance Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs semi-skilled to skilled maintenance, repairs, and construction of District buildings and equipment in one or more building maintenance trades.
• Maintains records of time, costs, and materials needed in maintenance and repair of District equipment and facilities.
• Operates a wide variety of tools and equipment including motor vehicles, mowing equipment, power hand tools, saws and hand tools used in trades.
• Responds to emergencies and works beyond normal hours as needed.
• Mows, weeds, waters grounds, and performs landscaping duties on school grounds.
