District 196 is seeking a Building Engineer at Rosemount High School for an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The role focuses on maintaining boilers, chillers, and building systems with preventive maintenance and independent work ability.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in public/commercial buildings with preventive maintenance.
• 2nd Class C boilers license required; 1st Class C preferred.
• Hands-on with mechanical/electrical equipment and building automation systems.
• Ability to repair grounds and custodial equipment.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Desire to work in a cooperative team environment.
• Positive work evaluations; no recent disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cafeteria duties 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
• Repair and maintain boilers, chillers, cooling towers, RTUs, DDC; assist building/mechanical specialists.
• Maintain PRVs and roof drains, clean roof decks and cooling coils.
• Divide maintenance and custodial work and time as needed.
• Clean building areas and move/assemble furniture.
• Aid with building set-ups and tear-downs as needed.
