Qualifications

• Proficient in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and masonry trades.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Comply with building codes, ADA accessibility guidelines.
• Comply with MSDS/AHERA/EPA/OSHA/PERRA regulations.
• Asbestos hazard evaluation specialist certificate qualification.
• Knowledge of computerized HVAC control systems.
• Proficient in boiler operations and preventive maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL with truck endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building conditions during working hours and report malfunctions or unsafe conditions.
• Check daily for activity requirements and cleanup.
• Learn proper procedures for all duties and follow instructions.
• Inspect housekeeping equipment and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain safe and sanitary conditions.
• Coordinate with supervisors and principals for scheduling and emergencies.
• Follow safety procedures for chemical spills and accidents; participate in safety training.
• Report accidents and document injuries; implement preventive safety measures.
• Maintain building grounds and ensure safe routes for exits.
• Assist with building security and visitor management.
• Support custodians and maintenance staff in emergencies and district needs.
