Job summary

Littleton School District is seeking a Custodian – Maintenance and Grounds to keep facilities clean, safe and welcoming for students and staff. The role includes setup for events, light maintenance, and adherence to safety standards.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of custodial experience. Candidates should be able to lift and move objects and work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum of one year custodial/maintenance experience preferred.
• Clear communication, reading and basic math skills required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receives and follows instructions from the head custodian and administrator.
• Move furniture and equipment as directed; assist with events.
• Perform routine cleaning, sanitation and safety checks daily.
• Operate and care for cleaning tools and equipment; report major repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms, hallways and grounds; monitor lights and HVAC.
• Assist with lawn care, snow removal and grounds maintenance as weather allows.
• Ensure security of the building and proper handling of keys.
