Job summary

City Schools Of Decatur is seeking a Maintenance/Custodial Technician to keep school facilities safe, clean, and operable. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities, you will perform routine cleaning, minor repairs, and monitor equipment, heating and safety systems to ensure efficient operation.

The role requires knowledge of building trades, the ability to follow written instructions, and a willingness to travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in building and grounds maintenance and repair.
• Valid driver's license or ability to provide transportation.

Responsibilities

• Clean school buildings and grounds; dispose trash, clean bathrooms, floors, windows.
• Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance; respond to facility issues.
• Inspect equipment and report required repairs to supervisor.
• Assist with HVAC controls to maintain comfortable temperatures.
