Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of maintenance and custodial experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing products and their use.
• Proficiency in commercial cleaning equipment.
• Working knowledge of general maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor.
• Effective communicator who works cooperatively with others.
• Must obtain Certification in First Aid and CPR.
• Able to pass background and reference checks.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Valid driver’s license and/or CDL if required.

Responsibilities

• Support HUSD Vision, Mission and Goals.
• Performs a variety of daily routine custodial and maintenance tasks at assigned work site.
• Conducts daily campus inspection, opens/closes buildings and gates, and corrects safety hazards.
• Sets up cafeteria for meals; cleans cafeteria after lunch.
• Sets up/breaks down meeting areas and arranges furniture and equipment.
• Performs maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC.
• Reports maintenance needs and generates work orders as needed.
• Maintains inventory records and assists with budget considerations.
• Responds to emergencies and supports security and energy conservation.
