Job summary

Centennial Elementary in Gilbert, AZ invites a Plant Foreman to lead and coordinate school facilities maintenance. You will supervise custodial tasks, supervise general upkeep, and ensure safety, security, and energy efficiency across grounds and buildings.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and custodial/maintenance experience, with ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification and pass background checks. 12-month, full-time position with day shifts and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in maintenance and custodial work preferred.
• Must be able to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Driver's license and/or CDL if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Support district vision and goals.
• Perform daily custodial and maintenance tasks at assigned site.
• Open/secure buildings, doors, and gates; ensure safety hazards are addressed.
• Set up cafeteria and meet area layouts; clean up after meals.
• Perform routine maintenance such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC maintenance.
• Report vandalism and initiate work orders for major repairs.
• Maintain inventory records for facilities and supplies.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with security for staff and students.
• Assist with energy conservation and supervisions as needed.
• Attend required training and maintain confidentiality.
