Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety practices.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, as well as perform physical tasks associated with cleaning and maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed for special events or emergencies.
• Background check required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and effectively.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and report issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Set up and break down furniture and equipment for school events, meetings, and activities.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as necessary.
• Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the overall cleanliness and functionality of the school environment.
• Adhere to all school policies and procedures, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere.
